Vivek Ramaswamy Endorses Bernie Moreno for U.S. Senate

Former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy endorsed Ohio businessman Bernie Moreno for U.S. Senate this week.

“I’m proud to announce my endorsement of Bernie Moreno for U.S. Senate in my home state of Ohio,” Ramaswamy said in a video message posted to X. “I’m endorsing Bernie because he’s an outsider. He’s a businessman and you all know, I have a bias towards that being one of them myself. I think we need more businessmen in Washington DC to actually drive change.”

“But I’ve also gotten to know Bernie personally over the last several years, including through the last time that he ran for U.S. Senate in Ohio and I was impressed with him then and I’ve been increasingly even more impressed with him ever since,” Ramaswamy continued. “He’s a patriot who cares about this country, he’s in this for the right reasons. He’s lived the American Dream, and I think that’s something we need to pass onto the next generation.”

“I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure he’s the next senator from Ohio – most importantly defeating Sherrod Brown. That guy needs to be put out of a job… And I think the combination of JD Vance and Bernie Moreno would be much better to represent our state in the Senate,” Ramaswamy added.

Moreno thanked Ramaswamy for his endorsement, writing on X, “Thank you @VivekGRamaswamy. We will UNITE this party, advance the America First agenda in the US Senate, and finally retire lifetime career politician @SherrodBrown!”

Ramaswamy’s endorsement comes less than a week after Moreno earned the endorsement of Wyoming U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY).

Moreno, who is also endorsed by former President Donald Trump, is facing State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Chagrin Falls) and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose in the GOP primary. All three candidates are vying to unseat incumbent Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH).

Ohio’s primary election will take place on March 19. Voter registration ends on February 20, with early voting beginning on February 21. The last day to request an absentee ballot is March 12.
